What Does VIA Stand For
You may be wondering, “What does VIA stand for?” For those unfamiliar, VIA stands for Visually Impaired Advancement, and their primary focus is just that! Today, vision loss affects over 27 million people in the United States alone. VIA makes it their mission to help inform and educate the public on how the visually impaired can work and live independently. VIA is considered a New York State Preferred Source Program for their outstanding work with the blind. We are proud to be working with an organization that has a rich history of guiding people through vision loss, helping them overcome it, and providing the skills that restore their independence and confidence.
Improving Accessibility & Promoting Inclusion
Many are unaware of the talents, skills, and abilities the visually impaired have to offer. Eberl Iron Works has been working closely with VIA to provide new work opportunities to the visually impaired. Our newest product launch, Silverback Strongback Pipe Supports, will be assembled entirely by VIA.
We have been working with VIA for some time now in our Rooftop Support Systems division and their workforce has assembled and labeled thousands of hardware kits that include instruction cards, for our RTS H-Stand Products.
By partnering with VIA, Eberl Iron Works looks to spread the message that any business in the community is capable of making a meaningful difference.
Social Responsibility Impact
For those unfamiliar, social responsibility is an ethical concept in which an individual or group works and cooperates with other people and organizations for the benefit of the community. We firmly believe that every business holds the power to make a meaningful difference in society, which is why we take immense pride in partnering with VIA to create enriching employment opportunities for individuals who are visually impaired.
